Welcome to The Riverwood Studio Website, Mrs. Kimberly Carver has been a Vocal Performance Educator, Wedding Soloist and Choral Director for a local area high school over twenty years. Kim has also directed, produced and choreographed dozens of musical productions for her home school as well as other area high schools and community theatre groups.

I officially opened The Riverwood Studio in 1998. It was through my experience with the solo festival process that I discovered that it could be possible for many more students to participate in this worthy evaluation opportunity. Since I too am a high school choral director, I am sympathetic to the fact that we have very little time in our daily school schedule to truly aid each and every student in our program. As vocal educators we understand the importance of the valuable knowledge that our singers can obtain by strengthening their vocal instrument. We know too, that students who perform solos gain self-confidence and in turn this positively reflects upon our in school program.

The educational practice CD's and Sight Singing Practice Method I have created should not replace the guidance of you, the teacher with the student, but it does allow you to bypass the drilling of notes enabling you to work directly with creating music with your student. These CD’s can be a tool for the student to learn from and practice with before meeting with the teacher to further their performance capability.
